graduate program Mental Health Counseling and Educational Research

The Department of Educational Policy Studies and the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services offer a dual enrollment, master’s-level program leading to a master of science degree with majors in both educational research and mental health counseling.

In addition to the mental health counseling program learning objectives, this dual program provides students a foundation of educational research expertise and the ability to combine research with clinical mental health counseling in his or her work setting. In general, this dual degree program provides the student with increased career opportunities within academia as well as in an applied setting.
