Karen Lopp Memorial Scholarship

The Karen Lopp Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Karen Lopp, a Ph.D. student in the School Psychology program at Georgia State University. Lopp was committed to several multi-cultural issues, in particular, the LGBT community and African-American girls. Her life and work stands as a model for all of those who are in the helping professions. She stood up to social injustice. It is our hope that, through the provision of this scholarship, her crusading spirit and efforts lives on.

The scholarship is awarded each year to one graduate level student at the Honors Day Ceremony. The College of Education and Human Development recognizes this exceptional individual and the contributions made to the university, college, and the community. The recipient of the scholarship is selected by the Student Association of School Psychology (SASP) Scholarship Committee.
